V stitch summer beret Crochet pattern 

This pattern is easy and straight forward if you are familiar with the V stitch making, it works in rounds like the flat circle but using V st. Then a number of decreases to shape the beret.

Materials

Medium worsted yarn acrylic or cotton 

Crochet hook: 5 MM

Measurements

20 cm/ 29 cm

Gauge:

10 cm: 24 sts/ 6 rows

Abbreviations

Ch: chain

St: stitch

Dc: double crochet

V st: dc, ch1, dc.

2 v st: 1dc, ch1, 2dc, ch1,1dc.

Written Pattern

Round 1: 2 dc in the 4th ch from the hook, ch1, 1dc in the same ch, (1dc, ch1, 1dc) in the same 

ch total of 5 times, you should obtain 6 V stitches, join to the initial ch.

Round 2: ch2, in the previous v st, make 2 v st (dc, ch1, 2dc, ch1, dc) repeat the same in every v st . Join.
