This beanie is very quick to achieve and easy, it is like single crochet beanie but with a twist and looks pretty, once the 2 first rounds are clear the rest of the rounds are easy to finish.

 Medium worsted yarn (red heart super saver)

 Crochet hook: 6 mm 

Abbreviations 

Ch: chain 

St: stitch 

Sp: space 

Sps: spaces 

Sts: stitches 

Sc: single crochet

Note

The initial work of the beanie might take a hexagon shape, however once you start working in rounds it does take the perfect beanie shape.

For smaller size, work the flat circle till round 7 ( minus 1 round for your required size, for lager size, add 1 round of the decrease instead of 8, make 9 rounds for the flat circle)

 Written pattern 

Ch2 

In the 2nd ch from the hook,

Round 1: sc, ch1 5 times in the 2nd ch from the hook, join. 

Round 2: ch1, *(sc,ch1,sc, ch1) all in the previous ch 1 sp throughout the round, join with a sl st to the 1st ch.

Round 3: * ch1, ( sc, ch1, sc) all in the previous ch1 sp, (ch1, sc, ch1) in the next sp, repeat from the * till the end of the round. Join

Round 4: * ch1, ( sc, ch1, sc) all in the previous ch1 sp, (ch1, sc, ch1) in the next 2 sps, repeat from the * till the end of the round. 

Round 5: * ch1, ( sc, ch1, sc) all in the previous ch1 sp, (ch1, sc, ch1) in the next 3 sps, repeat from the * till the end of the round. 

Round 6: * ch1, ( sc, ch1, sc) all in the previous ch1 sp, (ch1, sc, ch1) in the next 4 sps, repeat from the * till the end of the round.

 Round 7: * ch1, ( sc, ch1, sc) all in the previous ch1 sp, (ch1, sc, ch1) in the next 5 sps, repeat from the * till the end of the round. 

Round 8: * ch1, ( sc, ch1, sc) all in the previous ch1 sp, (ch1, sc, ch1) in the next 6 sps, repeat from the * till the end of the round. You'll have the shape of the hexagon but don’t worry, it’ll change to a round shape afterwards.

 Round 9 to 23 or until length required: ch1, sc in the next sp, ch1, sc in the following sp, repeat the same till the end of the round. Fasten off.
