One hour beret crochet pattern by Crochica_nbf



A very easy and quick beret to make within an hour, using double crochet and finishing with back post double crochet for the brim. 
The beret is made for medium size.

Measurements 
23 cm long/ 25 cm large ( forehead)
Gauge
10 cm: 13 sts/ 7 rows.


Materials 
1 medium worsted yarn acrylic
5.5 mm crochet hook

Notes

For large size, you add one round for the flat circle and minus one round for smaller size, the same is to be done when working in the round for the shaping of the beret ( rounds 9 to 14)

Abbreviations 

Ch: chain
Dc: double crochet
St: stitch
Sts: stitches
2 dctog: 2 double crochet together ( make an incomplete double crochet in the first stitch, another incomplete double crochet in the next stitch, join them together)
Bpdc: back post double crochet 


Written pattern 

Ch4,

Round 1: 10 dc in the 4th ch from the hook, join
Round 2: ch2, 2 dc in every st.
Round 3 : ch2, 2 dc in the 1st st, 1 dc in the next st. Repeat
Round 4 : ch2, 2 dc in the 1st st, 1 dc in the next 2 sts . Repeat
Round 5: ch2, 2 dc in the 1st st, 1 dc in the next 3 sts . Repeat
Round 6: ch2, 2 dc in the 1st st, 1 dc in the next 4 sts . Repeat
Round 7: ch2, 2 dc in the 1st st, 1 dc in the next 5 sts . Repeat
Round 9 to 14 : ch2, dc in every st.
Round 15: ch2, 2 dctog, dc in the next 4 sts. Repeat.
Round 16: ch2, 2 dctog, dc in the next 3 sts. Repeat.
Round 17: ch2, dc in every st.
Round 18, 19 : ch1, bpdc in every st.
Fasten off.
