We all love a nice beret in Autumn and winter especially handmade, this double V stitch beret is a simple and easy beret to make yet elegant with your favorite color, in less than 2 hours you can make your own.

Measurements/ Gauge

25 long/ 23 width/ forhead

10 cm: 18 sts/ 5 rows/ 

Materials

Medium worsted yarn (4)

Crochet hook: 5.5 mm / 6mm

Notes

You can make the beret shorter by making less rounds after the flat circle, here I did 5 rounds after the flat circle, you can make 4 or even 3 rounds and then proceed with the decrease.

For larger/ smaller beret, you can add/ minus one round from the initial flat circle.

Cluster V stitch: 2 incomplete double crochet joined together, ch1, 2 incomplete double crochet joined together all in the same ch.

Written Pattern

Ch4

Round 1: in the 4th ch from the hook, make 5 cluster V sts, join with a sl st to initial ch.

Round 2: ch2, in every ch1 sp, make 2 cluster V sts, join.

Round 3: ch2, *2 cluster V St in the 1st ch1 sp, 1 cluster V St in the next ch1 sp** , repeat from * to **. Join.

Round 4: ch2, *2 cluster V St in the 1st ch1 sp, 1 cluster V St in the next  2 ch1 sps** , repeat from * to **. Join.

Round 5: ch2, *2 cluster V St in the 1st ch1 sp, 1 cluster V St in the next  3 ch1 sps** , repeat from * to **. Join.

Round 6 to 10: ch2, cluster V st in every ch 1 sp, join.

Round 11: ch2, *sk 1st ch1 sp, cluster V St in next 2 sps**, repeat from * to **.
