For the lovers of fisherman beanie, this is an easy and very quick version which you can make in an hour, using the double stitch crochet, the pattern is made for medium size however I explain how to get it for different sizes.

Measurements/ Gauge

33/16 cm folded

10 cm: 10sts/ 7 rows

Materials

Medium worsted yarn (4) acrylic 

1 ball dark green.

Crochet hook: 5.5 mm 

 

Note

For smaller size, work the flat circle till round 5, you might want to lessen 1 round from the second part too, however try on the beanie and check it is not touching& your ears, than you are good to go to the next step, so 1 round less for each step.

For larger size is 1 round more for each step ( flat circle, working in rounds, folded brim).

Written Pattern

chain 4

in the 4th ch from the hook,10 dc, join to the top initial ch. Join to the top 1st dc.

Round 2, ch1, 2 dc in every st . 20

Round 3, ch 1, 2 dc in the 1st st, 1 dc in the next st, alternate 2,1,2,1 till the end of the round, join with a sl st. 30

Round 4, ch1, 2dc in the 1st st, 1 dc in the next 2 sts, alternate 2,1,1,2,1,1, till the end of the round. 40

Round 5, ch1, 2dc in the first st, 1 dc in the next 3 sts, alternate the same way till end of the round.50

Round 6, ch1, 2 dc in the first st, 1 dc in the next 4 sts, same process, 2,1,1,1,1,2 till end of the round. 60

Round 7, 8, 9, 10, ch1, dc in every st, join. 

Round 11, turn the beanie inside out, from the last st, ch 1, dc in every st, join.

Round 12, 13: repeat round 11. Fasten off.

Fold the beanie and that's it.
