Basic balaclava Crochet pattern
This basic balaclava is easier than it looks, it is quick and simple to make with no complications with different sizes, it is worked in 3 easy steps and can be achieved in less than 2 hours. A beginner friendly pattern.

Materials
Medium worsted yarn acrylic
2 blue jeans
Crochet hook: 5.5 mm
Abbreviations
ch: chain
st: stitch
sts: stitches
dc: double crochet
sc: single crochet
hdc: half double crochet
sl st: slip stitch
Note
The width of the bonnet is decided when you work the flat circle, for small size, work 5 rounds, medium 6/7, large 8/9 rounds and adjust accordingly.
Also the opening of the bonnet how close/ open you want it, you leave as many/ less stitches unworked as you want before to start working back and fourth.
The neck shape automatically follows the previous work.
Written Pattern
chain 4
in the 4th ch from the hook,10 dc, join to the top initial ch.
Round 2, ch2, 2 dc in every st . 20
Round 3, ch 2, 2 dc in the 1st st, 1 dc in the next st, alternate 2,1,2,1 till the end of the round, join with a sl st. 30
Round 4, ch2, 2dc in the 1st st, 1 dc in the next 2 sts, alternate 2,1,1,2,1,1, till the end of the round. 40
Round 5, ch2, 2dc in the first st, 1 dc in the next 3 sts, alternate the same way till end of the round.50
Round 6, ch2, 2 dc in the first st, 1 dc in the next 4 sts, same process, 2,1,1,1,1,2 till end of the round. 60
Round 7, ch2, 2dc in the first st, 1 dc in the next 5 sts, alternate till end of the round, do not join. 70
Round 8 : ch2, dc in every st, till the last 14 sts. Leave them unworked, turn.
Working back and fourth.
Round 9 to 18: ch2, dc in every st.
Join the opposite end ( facing side)
Round 19 to 24: ch2, dc in every st around. Fasten off.
