Medium worsted yarn (4) acrylic 

Crochet hook: 5.5 mm /

ch: chain

st: stitch

sts: stitches

dc: double crochet

sc: single crochet

hdc: half double crochet

sl st: slip stitch

Cluster V stitch: 2 incomplete double crochet joined together, ch1, 2 incomplete double crochet joined together all in the same ch.

Note

For small size work 3 rounds of flat circle, 4 rounds shaping of the beanie, 2 rounds for the brim, adjust accordingly.

For larger size, work 5 rounds of flat circle round 5: ch2, *2 cluster V St in the 1st ch1 sp, 1 cluster V St in the next 3 ch1 sps** , repeat from * to **. Join.

Continue with 6 rounds shaping the beanie followed by 4 rounds for the brim.

Ch4

Round 1: in the 4th ch from the hook, make 5 cluster V sts, join with a sl st to initial ch.

Round 2: ch2, in every ch1 sp, make 2 cluster V sts, join.

Round 3: ch2, *2 cluster V St in the 1st ch1 sp, 1 cluster V St in the next ch1 sp** , repeat from * to **. Join.

Shaping the beanie

Shaping the brim
