chain 4

in the 4th ch from the hook,10 dc, join to the top initial ch.

round 2, ch2, 2 dc in every st . 20

round 3, ch 2, 2 dc in the 1st st, 1 dc in the next st, alternate 2,1,2,1 till the end of the round, join with a sl st. 30

round 4, ch2, 2dc in the 1st st, 1 dc in the next 2 sts, alternate 2,1,1,2,1,1, till the end of the round. 40

Round 5, ch2, 2dc in the first st, 1 dc in the next 3 sts, alternate same way till end of the round.50

Round 6, ch2, 2 dc in the first st, 1 dc in the next 4 sts, same process, 2,1,1,1,1,2 till end of the round. 60

Round 7 to 12: ch1, dc in every st, join.

Round 13: ch1, *2dc in 1st st, 1 dc in next 2 sts**. Repeat from * to ** till end of the round.

Round 14 to 16: ch1, dc in every st.

For small/ loose small: make 4 to 5 rounds of flat circle followed by 7 to 8 rounds of dc in spiral.

For large/ ex large: 8 to 9 

rounds of flat circle followed by 12/ 13 rounds of dc in spiral.
