ch: chain
st: stitch
sts: stitches
dc: double crochet
sc: single crochet
hdc: half double crochet
sl st: slip stitch
Written Pattern
Row 1: Ch3, 5 dc in the 3rd ch from the hook
Row 2: ch1, 2sc in 1st st, sc in every st, 2 sc in last st.
Row 3: ch 2, 5 dc in 1st st, sk 2, *sc in next st, sk 2, 5 dc in next st**. Repeat from * to ** till end of the row.
Row 4: repeat row 2.
Row 5: repeat row 3.
Alternate between row 2 and 3 for 52 rows total or as many rows as you wish your shawl to be.
Before every row of shell st, you must have 1 row of sc increase which is row 2.
