st: stitch

sts: stitches

dc: double crochet

sc: single crochet

hdc: half double crochet

sl st: slip stitch

V st: dc, ch1, dc

Sk: skip

Sp: space


Written Pattern

Ch3, in 3rd ch from the hook ( dc, ch1, dc).

Row 1: ch 2, 2 v sts in ch1 sp. 

Row 2: ch2, 2 v sts in both ch 1 sps.

Row 3: ch2, 2 v sts in 1 st ch1 sp, v st in every ch1 sp, 2 v sts in last ch 1 sp.

Repeat row 3 till row 43 or until required width/ length.


At the beginning of every row, start with 2 v sts in 1st ch1 sp, and 2 v sts in the last ch1 sp. Only 1 v st in every ch1 sp in between.
